Welcome to Feed Ginger. This site is devoted to saving
my cat Ginger. Ginger is a wonderful loving cat, capable
of performing plenty of tricks, including fetch, opening
doors, and even using the toilet.
She is so smart that she can even recognize shapes
and distinguish colors. In fact, she has even displayed
elements of planning ahead, cause and effect, and
even deception. Read on, watch the videos, and you
will discover her plight.
Ginger came to me as a stray kitten. While only less
than 12 weeks old, she was fighting for scraps and
dodging coyotes in the canyon behind where I live.
I took her in, and was surprised to discover she is
in fact a purebred Bengal cat. Bengal cats are usually
exotic and well sought after, but through a chance
meeting I discovered she was considered worthless
by her breeder because of her multiple health conditions
and was litterally thrown away.

Ginger has many health issues. Maybe it is because
she has genes to be so smart that she missed out on
other genes which cause her ailments. As you can see
from the photos, she needs an eye operation for Trichiasis.
This is a condition where the eyelashes point inwards
instead of out and rub against the cornea. The result
is that her eyes are constantly watering, and causing
her pain and discomfort. If I can't raise enough money
help her, she may eventually go blind because of it.
The doctors tell me it will cost $1200 to operate
on her eyelashes, and clear her resulting clogged
nasal passages.
Make a donation towards Ginger's health care and help
Ginger to see better. She will be eternally grateful.
Ginger is a very smart cat. This website was made
after my grandmother made a comment that if she is
so smart, she should get a job! Grandmothers are like
that. After some thought I decided that maybe she's
right - she needs to get a job. So I made this website
in the hopes that she can help cover costs for her
own food through her cute videos and photos.
I have been unemployed for quite sometime, and the
bills have been piling up. Anyone that owns a cat
knows how expensive they can be with vet bills, food,
and litter. Ginger has alleviated me of buying litter
thanks her toilet training, but she is still an expensive
cat.
I have decided to ask you to help me keep Ginger.
If her cuteness and talents are worth the food she
consumes then I want you to show me through your donations
to help her. I am unable to bring myself to decide
Ginger's fate on my own. I have therefore made this
website so that you can determine her future for me.
Here is how you can help. Make a donation towards
Gingers food. If enough people think Ginger is worth
saving, and she can generate enough dontations to
pay for her food, then I won't have to take her to
a shelter. But if nobody reading this thinks she's
worth it, then eventually I will be unable to take
care of her and have to take her to a shelter. We
all know what happens to unwanted cats that are taken
to shelters and I really don't want that to happen
to Ginger.
A few people have asked if this site is "real". Well
yes it is. Ginger is a real cat. She really does have an eye
condition that needs to be taken care of, just check out
the photos and see for yourself. And yes even though I have
the ability to make this website, I am still struggling
to make ends meet. So yes this site is real. If you make a
donation towards Ginger's eye operation or buy her some treats,
she will indeed directly benefit from your donation.

Ginger is a truly loving cat. She sleeps every night
with her head resting right on my chest, and she is
never more than a few feet from me. She follows me
everywhere throughout the house, and sleeps all day
by my side while I job hunt. She loves to play and
is clearly happy to be here in my home. I will be
truly devastated if I have to let her go. But the
fact of the matter is that if I can't afford to buy
food for her, then I can't keep her. And if she isn't
worth a donation towards her food from you, then maybe
she isn't worth keeping at all. Yes I will be upset
if I have to let her go, but at some point I will
have to make a decision on how to take care of her
and if her future will be with me or in a shelter.
I have decided to ask you to help me feed Ginger through
this website, and to ask you to help me please save
Ginger.
Each week I will post Ginger's food supply level.
She really likes the Eukanuba Chicken & Rice Formula.
I am unable to bring myself to make a decision on
her, and I ask you to help me keep her through your
donations.
I would hate to have to take Ginger to a shelter.
She is talented, loving, intelligent, sensitive, and
caring - not to mention cute as a button. Please make
a donation and help me Feed Ginger.
